Volunteering
The Gresham Japanese Garden is comprised solely of volunteers—there are no paid employees. Volunteers are the heart and soul of the organization, and embrace the spaces they maintain: Tsuru Island, Ebetsu Plaza, Ambleside Annex, Mural Garden, Peace Tree Garden, Pollinator Garden, and the cutting garden. Volunteers also maintain the greenhouse and the shadehouse.
GJG maintain inside Main City Park. GJG is the “gem of the city” because of the dedication of our volunteers and leadership team.
Volunteers also run all our cultural events and manage the rentals in the Kyoudou Center.
